James Neville and William Gribble founded MCM Electronics Pty Ltd in May 1985 with the mission, "To design and manufacture high quality, innovative, electronic security products, giving personalised service to our customers and become a "technology" and "service" leader in the security and communications industry."
Bronwyn, James’ wife took over from William when he retired in 2006. This gave James, with Bronwyn, an opportunity to take the company in a new direction. MCM, is still an Australian owned company based in Penrith NSW and serves a dynamic market and customer base, providing a diverse range of standard and custom-built products.
MCM Electronics is a market leader in the field of Personal Emergency location devices for use in Aged Care, Domestic Violence and Lone Worker applications. Together with solutions for Vehicle/Fleet Tracking and Management, Ethernet and 4G dual path communication devices giving MCM a unique and diverse range of products.

MCM is a Platinum member of A.S.I.A.L. (the Australian Security Industry Association Limited) and has been an industry representative on many Australian Standards committees. MCM products are designed to meet AS2201 and have been tested and certified to meet the requirements of the A.C.M.A. (the Australian Communications and Media Authority)
In 2019 James Neville received a prestigious Industry award from ASIAL for “Technical Excellence”.
In 2021 the NEVERalone product was awarded “Product of the Year “ by A.S.I.A.L.
